Dancing Out On A Limb

Anyone who knows me is aware of my reality TV passion. Okay, obsession is more like it. Heck, I used to write about it for hours a night most days of the week for a blog. After 8 months of that, I had to stop. I just wasn't able to enjoy watching it anymore. It had become work. Can't have that!

But I still can't get over the next set of Dancing with the Stars contestants. The show starts in a few weeks but already I'm predicting the first couple of flops.

Come on! Are we kidding here? I don't even see Marie Osmond making it three weeks of rehearsals. I just don't see her having the stamina or patience to learn this stuff, do you? Now, Donny - maybe. He has been quite a song and dance man on Broadway. But I think Marie should stick to her paper roses and get her twinkletoes off the dance floor.

And this has GOT to be a joke? Wayne Newton??? And with Cheryl? Apparently Cheryl put in a request to be done by Halloween or something. Geez. This could be ugly.

If you'd like to learn more about the whole group selected this year, check out this article but I'm going out on a limb right now and making my prediction. We've had one male professional win and two female professionals guide their celebs for the four winners so far. I think it's time for Maksim, by far one of the most exciting male professionals to take home the big ugly trophy with a natural mover and shaker on the dance floor, former Spice Girl Melanie Brown.

I think she absolutely will dazzle everybody and be a real fan favorite. People will be surprised at her ability to be glamorous and demure. She really is quite a different person than her old persona.

Don't let the giant tattoo fool ya!
